A huge step

Today my biggest boy amazed me.

He has been doing so incredibly brilliantly. He goes to his hour lesson every day, he looks forward to it, he enjoys it, and he is not at all anxious about it. So different from just a couple of months ago.

Today, when we went to pick him up at the end of the hour, he came and told us how he had spent at least half of that hour with his TA in his classroom. Not in his pod, but in the classroom. Not just that but the rest of his class were in there too. He joined in, he talked to them, and he was part of a class of children again.

This is the first time in around 9 months that he's been able to do it. And not only did he just do it, but he was calm and happy and enjoyed it. And when he was telling us about it afterwards it was no big deal. Just what he did in his lesson today.

To some people this might not seem like a big deal. But to us it is a step I didn't think we would see for quite a while yet.

And he thinks he might like to do it again tomorrow.

My lovely biggest boy.
